The Benefits of Cat Energy

As I’m sure you could guess by now I f*cking love my cat. Like, LOVE her. And there many benefits of cat energy. However, I do think that many people don’t believe that because of the dog versus cat argument that has been going on for centuries. And don’t get me wrong… I think dogs are wonderful companions and I particularly think huskies are beautiful.

But because I’m a cat owner that’s the content you’re going to get; I think that there are many benefits of owning a cat that are largely over looked. Primarily due to the fact that they’re perceived as emotionless or aloof. Please note that dogs have been domesticated for 30,000 years where as cats have only been domesticated for 10,000 years. They share 95% of their DNA with tigers and often breed with street cats. Therefore their ‘wild side’ hasn’t been knocked out of them yet. Therefore causing a more independent attitude which is often mislabeled as unloving.

That couldn’t be further from the truth! Here are some mystic and scientific benefits of cat energy as listed below:

  • Purring IS Magic Universe Dust: “A cat purring doesn’t just show they’re happy. The sound has also been long associated with a therapeutic healing ability on human bones and muscle. It’s to do with the frequency of purr vibrations at 20-140 HZ. With studies such as this one showing that frequencies in the 18-35 HZ range have a positive effect on joint mobility after injury, scientists have begun talking about how the cat noise could help humans. ‘This association between the frequencies of cats’ purrs and improved healing of bones and muscles may provide help for some humans,’ Leslie A. Lyons assistant professor at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California explains in a post for Scientific American.Read more: | Facebook:”
  • Away With Allergies: Children around cats build a strong immunity to allergens than those that weren’t around them growing up. And, I had horrid allergies before getting Star. Now, I basically get none.
  • As A Totem: They are perfect at helping one understand when to act, move with purpose, yet be curious at the same time. They symbolize knowing when something is enough and when hesitation or moving forward is appropriate. They, are careful in their movement forward in life yet don’t block out new things.
  • They Teach You Strategic Thinking: “If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.” — Mark Twain” As the Huffington Post also says: “They even move more intentionally as they climb to seemingly impossible heights and then find safe ways to get down. They are thoughtful, strategic and deliberate — all characteristics their owners value and even hope to embody themselves.”
